![]() ![]() Perhaps all this sounds silly? Clearly some people swear by the place but I felt uncomfortable there and I've been to several play areas where the atmosphere and service is much nicer even when busy. There is a second seating area across the other side of the foyer but I'd have had to leave my 1.5 year old unattended there while I collected the food, navigated the shoes and unattended eight year olds charging like rhinos. There was nowhere to sit in the main cafe - many of the tables that I've had needed to accommodate my two were taken up by lounging solo dads or mums on mobiles. I didn't hold out much hope and frankly felt sorry for the staff. I looked into the kitchen area and saw a shambles. Menu looked good and was very reasonably priced - beans on toast - 'sorry that will be 25 minutes wait'. After felling uncomfortable in the play area I thought maybe we'd get some food instead. There were shoes all over the floor - nowhere apparently to put them or no one keeping them away from becoming a hazard/getting lost. There didn't seem to be many people managing the place. Maybe I'm over protective but in the toddlers area there were lots of bigger children charging through unhindered. It was busy so we undoubtedly saw it at it's worst but it was grubby, the play areas felt old, shabby and I certainly couldn't let my kids play without being right on top of them for fear they'd be hurt. I took my two children (under five) here but we left soon after arriving - I decided it was best to cut our losses on the £12 or so we spent getting in. ![]()
